Privacy policy

comex.ba is run by "COMEX" d.o.o. Tešanj, Meše Selimovića 5, 74260 Tešanj, Bosnia and Herzegovina ("we"). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your choices.

We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Bosnia and Herzegovina's Law on Personal Data Protection (Official Gazette of BiH, No. 12/25) also applies.

When you fill in a form, subscribe to our blog or email us, we collect what you give us: your name and email address and, if you add them, your company, phone number, plant details and anything else you write.

When you visit the site, our hosting provider receives technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and the referring page. It also derives your approximate country to show the right language; we do not store it.

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We disclose it to authorities only when the law requires it.

• Necessary: a cookie remembers your cookie choice for 180 days, and your browser stores your language setting for 30 days.
• Analytics, only with your consent: our analytics provider records clicks, scrolling and mouse movement (session recordings) to show us how the site is used.
• Marketing, only with your consent: advertising and social media platforms measure visits from our ads and may show you our ads later. Our newsletter service records the pages you view.
• Map: the map on our home page comes from a map provider and loads when you scroll to it, without a cookie choice. The provider receives your IP address and browser data and may set cookies.

You can change your choice at any time under Cookie settings at the bottom of any page.

We use your data to:

• reply to your enquiry and prepare any estimate or offer you request (pre-contract steps or our legitimate interest)
• send you new blog articles if you subscribed (your consent)
• see how visitors use the site and measure our ads (your consent)
• run the site securely, show it in your language and show our location (our legitimate interest)

Our hosting provider, email provider and newsletter service process data on our behalf. Our analytics provider, advertising platforms and map provider also use the data from their tools under their own privacy policies. For advertising platforms, we share responsibility for the data collected through their tags.

We keep enquiry records for 2 years. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.

We protect your data with technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS).

Some of our providers are outside the EEA and Bosnia and Herzegovina. We rely on the safeguards they offer, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Links to other websites, such as our social media profiles, are covered by those sites' own privacy policies.

We update this policy when our use of data changes. The date at the top shows the current version.

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or stop its use, or send it to you in a common format. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. To stop blog emails, use the unsubscribe link in any of them.

You can also complain to the Personal Data Protection Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AZLP, azlp.ba) or to the data protection authority in the EU country where you live or work.
